About Coach

Growing up I was always super active. Started with dance when I was a wee thing about 3 or 4. That didn’t last long. I started playing soccer at the age of 5. From then on I played on multiple different soccer teams. I vividly remember at one point in middle school being on 4 different soccer teams. (That was definitely the start of getting “burnt out”) I played varsity soccer as a freshman in high school & was an “all league” player four years in a row.

Fun fact: I loved playing jackpot, kill the carrier, and two-hand touch football with the boys in grade school. In high school, during one off-season (I believe in December of 2012) I found CrossFit & haven’t looked back since. CrossFit has become my second home, my happy place & my therapy. My kind of church.

Turning Point

2017. I was crossfitting every now and then. I had stopped playing collegiate soccer. I definitely was NOT taking care of myself. I was eating whatever I pleased, drinking whenever I wanted & just overall gaining a lot of weight. I remember stepping on the scale and being the heaviest I’d ever been. At that moment I knew something had to change. I contacted my good friend Jess who’s a nutritionist we got my nutrition on track and a training schedule down for the gym. I had lost 25lbs in about 7 months and mentally felt like a new person. Of course, it sounds like there’s nothing to it, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. It was really hard. Change is hard, but you have to want it for yourself.

Motivation & Passion

As a coach, nothing motivates me more than seeing members grow as an athlete. You can literally see their confidence level change week to week. I love seeing a member’s reaction after lifting a weight they haven’t before or conquering a new skill. The smile on their faces is absolutely priceless. I want to be a role model for not only our members but for my daughter. I want to show people that you can make time for yourself & you can make a lifestyle change at any point in your life.
