I think the most important thing that I have learned as a coach, parent, and husband is that you have to give a sh*t. You can’t fake it and you can’t pretend. It has to come from the heart.
I started CrossFit with a friend and really liked it. Somewhere along the way my coach at that time suggested that I start coaching and open up my own spot. I think that moment was when I realized that I can help people and it actually matters. That it was more than just exercising.
I like to help people. I want people to love fitness, respect the journey, and really believe that if they hunker down they can truly make the lifelong changes that they have always wanted. But it is all up to them. They have to want it badly. I like to see people smile at the end of a workout. They just accomplished something amazing!!
